You have or found a cat that needs help.
The following in our intake policy for rescuing please read the following:
Country Cat Lady only accepts intakes of expecting mothers or newborn kittens with or with out the mother. Please understand we have specific justifications for focusing this selected age group. If you have a stray or an adult pet that needs to be placed, contact other area rescues and ask to be put on a waiting list. We do not have a Vet on staff and cannot help cats with current injuries that need immediate medical attention. Our only exception to this intake process are cats that were originally adopted from our rescue.
If your request for help falls within our guidelines above you may fill out the following form to request assistance for intake. Only request with this form will be considered.
We understand finding help can be extremely frustrating. There is an growing overpopulation of cats in our area and not enough resources. In the state of Michigan, the law is you feed it you own it. Be responsible when you feed stray cats and take ownership to spay and neuter them like any responsible pet owner should.
Understand that we will first help our local area near Wayland, MI and/or Allegan County before we reach the needs of surrounding areas. We have made this choice as this area has very little options then surrounding areas wit multiple resources. There is no guarantee that we have room for your request or be able to help. We do the best we can but will not over crowd our rescue and compromise the health and care of the cats already in our care. Please reach out to all rescues in your area and ask for assistance.
